MAKING THEIR MARK: Regional Student Art Exhibition

We want to see your best work! The Boyd’s Station Gallery is excited to take submissions for our first student work juried show, “Making Their Mark: Regional Student Art Exhibition.”

Students that are interested must be in 3rd - 12th grade and be residents of Harrison or the seven surrounding counties: Bourbon, Bracken, Grant, Nicholas, Pendleton, Robertson and Scott.

Chosen works will be shown in the Gallery from May 13 - June 11, 2023. In this juried exhibition, a “Best of Show” winner alongside two runner ups will be chosen, receiving $100 and $50 scholarships, respectively, from Boyd’s Station. Students, families, friends and community members are also invited to a special opening reception on Saturday, May 20 from 6-9 pm.

Artist Submission Details  

Any 2D or 3D medium is acceptable, including ink, pencil, colored pencil, marker, charcoal, cut paper, photography, watercolor, tempera or acrylic paint, mixed media, papier mache, ceramics etc. If a piece is 2D, we encourage that the piece be “hang ready,” however this is not a requirement.  Ideally, a 2D piece would be framed or on canvas and include a wire hanger or other hanging mechanism on the back.

The deadline for submissions is FRIDAY, APRIL 21 and students will be notified of chosen works on MONDAY, APRIL 24.

Chosen work must be delivered to the Boyd’s Station Gallery (203 E. Pike St., Cynthiana, KY, 41031) during our typical gallery hours the following weekend:

Friday, April 28 - 4-8 pm

Saturday, April 29 - Noon - 6 pm

Sunday, April 30 - Noon - 4 pm
