Boyd’s Station Artist Guild Presents “River Runs Through It”

Boyd’s Station Gallery

203 E. Pike Street, Cynthiana, KY

EXHIBITION DATES: July 13 - August 25, 2024

Special Opening Reception – Saturday, July 13 - 6-9 pm

Harrison County, Kentucky nonprofit Boyd’s Station and the Boyd’s Station Artist Guild proudly announce the themed Kentucky Regional group show, "River Runs Through It” on display at the Boyd’s Station Gallery from July 13 to August 25, 2024.

The exhibition of work by Kentucky artists seeks to celebrate the intricate relationship between the people, history, and natural beauty of Kentucky, inspired by the Commonwealth’s waterways, particularly, the South Fork of the Licking River, which gracefully winds through Harrison County, the home of the Boyd’s Station.

Kentucky's rivers are not just geographical features; they are the lifeblood of our communities, shaping our culture, history, and identity. The South Fork of the Licking River, with its meandering path through Harrison County, serves as a poignant symbol of this connection. Its waters have witnessed the unfolding narratives of generations, from the indigenous peoples who first settled along its banks to the pioneers who forged new paths through the wilderness, and to the present-day residents who continue to draw inspiration from its serene beauty.

Artists, families, friends and community members are invited to a special opening reception on Saturday, July 13 from 6-9 pm to celebrate this collection of work.
