Call for Artists: Boyd's Station Artist Guild Regional Art Exhibit
Exhibition Theme: "A River Runs Through It"
Boyd's Station, a Kentucky nonprofit organization in Harrison County, Kentucky and the Boyd's Station Artist Guild invites artists from around Kentucky to participate in our upcoming juried exhibition themed "A River Runs Through It." This exhibit seeks to celebrate the intricate relationship between the Commonwealth's waterways and the people, history, and natural beauty of Kentucky.
About the Theme:
Kentucky's rivers are not just geographical features; they are the lifeblood of our communities, shaping our culture, history, and identity. The South Fork of the Licking River, with its meandering path through Harrison County, serves as a poignant symbol of this connection. Its waters have witnessed the unfolding narratives of generations, from the indigenous peoples who first settled along its banks to the pioneers who forged new paths through the wilderness, and to the present-day residents who continue to draw inspiration from its serene beauty.
Submission Guidelines:
We invite all Kentucky artists (15 and older) working in all mediums to interpret the theme "A River Runs Through It" through their unique artistic lenses. Whether through paintings, sculptures, photography, mixed media, or any other form of artistic expression, we encourage submissions that capture the essence of Kentucky's rivers (not just the South Fork of the Licking River) and their profound impact on our collective consciousness.
