Boyd’s Station Artist Guild: SPRING SHOWCASE
Boyd’s Station Gallery
203 E. Pike Street, Cynthiana, KY
EXHIBITION DATES: March 18 - April 23, 2023
Special Opening Reception – Saturday, March 18 - 6-9 pm
Boyd’s Station Gallery is proud to present the Boyd’s Station Artist Guild: SPRING SHOWCASE. Featuring the work of seven members from Harrison and Scott County, this dynamic exhibition is a celebration of hyperlocal artistry.
Recently, the Boyd’s Station Artist Guild welcomed eight new creative members. The works of Katelyn Chanslor, Steve Shaffer, Lyndsay Whitaker-Prewitt, and Debbie Pulliam delight the gallery’s walls for the first time. Select founding members - Ray Duke, Nicolette Mallory, and Wes Mallory - return with fresh selections of work to showcase.
The SPRING SHOWCASE features work created from a variety of perspectives and media, including painting, photography, quilting, mixed media, and sketches. This exhibit is intended to highlight the creative works of local artists and engage the community within the Bluegrass region.
“As an artist who lives and works in this community I’ve always believed that many other artists have been passionately pursuing their art in relative obscurity - and more tragically without the opportunity to connect with a community of like-minded souls,” Wes Mallory, a founding member of the Boyd’s Station Artist Guild, says.
Established in 2022, Boyd’s Station Artist Guild is a voice for the visual arts in north-central Kentucky. The Boyd’s Station Artist Guild, just one of the many amazing parts of the nonprofit organization Boyd’s Station, is composed of artists and art enthusiasts who together support artists, encourage young creatives, and promote the arts and culture of our region.
“We have a responsibility to showcase the richness of the arts in central Kentucky,” Mallory says. “My sincere belief is that we’ve only just begun and with your continuing support, we can reach great heights.”
The public is invited to visit the Boyd’s Station Gallery located at 203 E. Pike Street, Cynthiana, Kentucky during normal gallery hours of Fridays, 4-8 pm, Saturdays, noon-6 pm and Sundays, noon-4 pm from March 18 through April 23, 2023.
All events and gallery visits are always free and open to the public.
